Locking and Unlocking Cable Routes

This task explains how to lock and unlock cable routes. (You must lock a cable route before performing any operation that updates a route.)

It also explains how to determine ownership of cable routes and request that they be unlocked..

Use the Electrical Cable Database Cable Selection dialog box to load cable data from the database, and to route cables.

The status of a locked cable route changes to Out of Date when changes are made to the imported work package by another user even when the other user is not the cable route owner. Determine whether a cable route is Out of Date by validating the route. See Validating a Cable Route for more information.
