This task explains how to adjust the cable length of From and To Equipment on cables with a status of Fully Routed or Complete Route. | ||
Use the Electrical Cable
Database Cable Selection dialog box to
load cable data from the database, and to
route cables.
You can determine the cables that are routed through a specific light network object by using the the Select Cables Routed Through a Network Object button . See Querying Cables Routed Through a Specific Network Object for more information. |

1. | You can add adjust the cable length of From and
To Equipment on a fully routed cable, or on a cable with a status of
Complete Route. (Complete Route indicates the cable had
been Partially Routed. See Changing
the Status of a Partial Route.) From the list in the Electrical Cable Database Cable Selection dialog box, select one or more cables where extra length needs to be added to the From Equipment. Sort on the From Equipment column to make sure you select cables that are connected to the same equipment. Click the Adjust Extra Length to From Equipment button and the Extra Length field displays at the bottom of the dialog box. Also, the From Extra Length column is added to the dialog box. Enter the extra length and click Finish. The Electrical Cable Database Cable Result dialog box displays. You can click Save As to save the report. NOTE: By default, the distance between the equipment connector and the connected light network object is added to the cable length. Choosing this command overrides this distance, and adds the desired extra length. Click Previous to return to the Electrical Cable Database Cable Selection dialog box. The From Extra Length column displays the extra length for the selected cable routes. Click the Adjust Extra Length to To Equipment button , and enter extra length to the To Equipment in the Extra Length field. Click Finish and the Electrical Cable Database Cable Result dialog box displays. You can click Save As to save the report. Click Previous to return to the Electrical Cable Database Cable Selection dialog box. The To Extra Length column displays the extra length for the selected routes. |

and return to the Electrical Cable Database Cable Selection
dialog box, you can continue working with the cables listed in the dialog
