Parameter Tasks

Adding a parameter to a feature Scenario

  1.  
  2. Select a feature.

  3. Use the New parameter of type button to specify the parameter to be added to the selected feature.

Creating a set of parameters Scenario
     logokwr.gif (1734 bytes) Select the destination node in the specification tree. To add parameter to the created parameter set, see Adding a parameter to a feature.
Reordering parameters in a parameter set
    
  1. In the specification-tree, right-click the parameter to be reordered.

  2. Select Reorder....

Relation Tasks

Creating a rule Scenario

  1. Enter the rule name, comments and destination. 

  2. Click OK to display the rule editor, then write your rule.

Entering a parameter definition within a rule
     logokwr.gif (1734 bytes) I_RulesP2.gif (241 bytes) To enter a parameter definition within a rule, you can:
  • Check the Select feature box in the rule editor then select the feature in the specification tree or in the geometry area, or
  • Click the corresponding dimension displayed in the geometry area, or
  • Use the dictionary.
Editing / Modifying a rule
   logokwr.gif (1734 bytes) In the specification tree, double-click the rule to be edited. The rule editor is displayed.

  1. In the specification tree, right-click the rule to be edited.

  2. Select Rule Object > Edition.

Activating / Deactivating a rule
  
  1. In the specification tree, right-click the rule to be activated or deactivated.

  2. Select Rule Object > (De)activate.

  1. From the parameter list of the Formulas dialog box.

  2. Select the rule/activity parameter modify its value in Edit name or value of the current parameter.

Deleting a rule

  1. In the specification tree, right-click the rule.

  2. Select Delete.

Creating a check Scenario

Enter the check name, comments and destination. Then write your check in the check editor. To enter a parameter within a check, you can:

  1. Click the parameter in the specification tree.

  2. Click the dimension displayed in the geometry area.

  3. Use the Dictionary.

  1. Check the Select feature box in the check editor then select the feature in the specification tree or in the geometry area.

  2. Click the corresponding dimension displayed in the geometry area

  3. Use the Dictionary.

Editing /Modifying a check

  1. In the specification tree, right-click the check to be edited.

  2. Select Check Object > Definition.

 or I_FormulaP2.gif (164 bytes) From the parameter list, select the Relations.i/Check/Result parameter. The check result value is grayed out in the Edit name or value of the current parameter. Click the push button opposite the value field to display the check editor.
Activating / Deactivating a check
  
  1. In the specification tree, right-click the check to be activated or deactivated.

  2. Select Check object > (De)activate.

Deleting a check
  
  1. In the specification tree, right-click the check to be deleted.

  2. Select Delete

Creating a relation set Scenario

  1. Select a node (the Relations node for example or any sub-node below the Relations node).

  2. Click the Set of Relations icon.

Creating a law Scenario

Before clicking the Law Editor icon, you must select a node:  the Relations node for example or any sub-node below the Relations node.

Enter the name, comments and destination of the law. Click OK. In the editor which is displayed, create the formal parameters and enter the law in the edition box.

Solving a set of equations Scenario

(Prior to clicking the Set of Equations icon, you must select a node:  the Relations node for example or any sub-node below the Relations node).

Enter the name, comments and destination of the law. Click OK. In the editor which is displayed, enter the set of equations (use the semi-colon as separator between equations).

Reordering relations in a relation set
    
  1. In the specification-tree, right-click the relation to be reordered.

  2. Select Reorder....

Knowledge Inspector Tasks

Accessing the "What If" mode (impacts) Scenario

  1. Check the What If option, then select the parameter whose impacts are to be analyzed.

  2. Click Apply. A list of parameters and parameter values is displayed in the Then area.

  3. Use the Equals  field to modify the selected parameter value.

  4. Click Apply to display the values of the impacted parameters.

Accessing the "How to"  mode (dependencies) Scenario

  1. Check the How To option, then select the parameter whose dependencies are to be studied.

  2. Click Apply or Enter. The list of impacting parameters is displayed in the Use area.
