XGA206 Windows XGA-2 Display Driver

Released May 2006

XGA206 finally ends after so many years the XGA-2 driver misery on Windows 95/98 by providing the deserving 800x600 in Hi-Color (16-bit color depth or 64K colors) with up to 75 Hz frame refresh rates. XGA206 also supports the IBM XGA Display Adapter with the typical XGA resolutions and color depths.

XGA206 is the best XGA-2 Windows 95/98 display driver you would ever find. While the IBM XGA Technical Reference specifies 800x600 with 65536 colors (16-bpp) at some 60 Hz frame rate, XGA206 managed to provide 800x600 with 16-bit color depth at the more ergonomic 75 Hz refresh rate.

XGA206 successfully passed Microsoft's Display Compatibility Test. As of April 2008, XGA206 has been superseded by the new XGA208.
