OpenGL contains software that enables the user to develop or run applications using the OpenGL API or the GL 3.2 API. OpenGL also contains an object-oriented toolkit for developing interactive, 3D graphics applications and defining a standard file format for exchanging 3D data among applications.
OpenGL.OpenGL_X.rte | OpenGL Run-Time Environment |
Contains the base run-time libraries, the OpenGL Pipeline run-time support, and the SoftOpenGL run-time support.
OpenGL.OpenGL_X.adt | OpenGL Application Development Toolkit |
Contains include files required to develop OpenGL applications along with sample source and documentation.
OpenGL.OpenGL_X.dev | OpenGL Device Dependent Software |
Contains device dependent libraries and load modules required to run OpenGL applications.
OpenGL.OpenGL_X.tools | OpenGL Support Tools |
Contains base development tools, performance tools and an OpenGL debugger.
OpenGL.info.en_US | OpenGL InfoExplorer Databases - U.S. English |
Contains documentation necessary to develop applications which use the Graphics Library (GL) support under AIXwindows.
OpenGL.GL32.rte | GL Run-Time Environment |
Contains libraries and programs required to run GL 3.2 applications.
OpenGL.GL32.adt | GL Application Development Toolkit |
Contains include files required to develop applications using GL 3.2 along with demos, sample source and utilities.
OpenGL.GL32.dev | GL Device Dependent Software |
Contains device dependent libraries and load modules required to run GL 3.2 applications.
The device dependent software has been divided into specific filesets for each graphics adapter that is supported. To conserve disk space, you may want to selectively install only the pieces matching the hardware you are using. This applies to both the OpenGL and GL 3.2 packages.
The OpenGL.info.en_US fileset requires that the bos.info.en_US.nav fileset be installed first. When the latest level of the bos.info.en_US.nav fileset is installed, the previously installed level of OpenGL.info.en_US is removed. Before installing the OpenGL.info.en_US fileset, refer to the Special Migration Notes section of the bos.info.en_US fileset for more information.
