System User's Guide: Operating System and Devices

Displaying the Name of Your Console (lscons Command)

The lscons command writes the name of the current console device to standard output, usually your screen.

For example, at the prompt, type:

lscons

Press Enter.

The system displays a message similar to the following:

/dev/lft0

See the lscons command in the AIX 5L Version 5.1 Commands Reference for the exact syntax.
