IBM reserved a range of adapter IDs for the XGA class of display adapters. This adapter ID is one of the reserved IDs. There are no known physical XGA adapters under this adapter ID.

The recommended XGA/XGA-2 driver for Windows 95/98/98SE is XGA208 providing High Color support at resolutions of 800x600 and 832x620 both on the XGA and XGA-2, as well as a number of high resolution modes of up to 1600x1200 on the XGA-2. The XGA208 Windows NT Video Miniport provides the adapter hardware interface services for the Windows NT XGA display driver.
