Getting Started

Before getting into the detailed instructions for using the Sketcher workbench, this step-by-step tutorial aims at giving you a feel of what you can accomplish with the product. It will show you how to use some of the key functionalities.

Thus, the Sketcher workbench provides a set of functionalities for creating, editing and setting constraints to sketched elements, such as curves and profiles.

Moreover, from the Sketcher workbench, you can work on 3D elements, adding or editing 2D geometry to an existing part, for example.

This tutorial should take about 20 minutes to complete. It will start with examples of how to enter the Sketcher workbench. A description of the interface will then help you get familiar with the basic commands. Once you are more familiar with the workbench, you will learn how to use the functionalities from both a 2D and a 3D perspective, by sketching first a new part and then an existing part.
