Question:
One of our PSF/AIX customers is printing line data files (ASCII),
using a jobscript, with a Pagedef, Formdef, Fonts and the Transform
Program asciinpe and everything works OK. Now he wants to
include in the printout a hexadecimal stream generated by a routine
which has to be printed with an special Bar Code Font. As the
jobscript makes the asciinpe transformation, the Bar Code doesn't
print because the hexa chars are also transformed and if we don't
use the Transform Program the line data file doesn't print at all.
If we submit a file with the hexa chars and the Bar Code Font with a
jobscript in which we say type of data=line data and NO Transform
Program is called, the Bar Code is printed OK.

To avoid using the Transform Program, we've tried to change the
Code Page of the Code Fonts (X0C42100C, X044100C) used to
print the data file to an ASCII Code Page (T1000850) and we get
messages from PSF saying it has detected channel 39 and 41 in
the file which makes any sense because there are not such
channels in the file.

Is there any way of preserve those hexa chars to be transformed?
Or can you tell us in which new hexa chars is this Transform
Program converting the original ones?
Is there any way of printing the line data file without using the
Transform Program?
Or, can you tell us how this program transforms each hexa char

A:
