On page 22 of the latest manual it's stated that you create your own
reports with prefix Z. However, on the next page, it says that for
first character of Z the pagedef.tab is not checked. On the other hand,
there is a sample with Z_INCH12 in the pagedef.tab. What is the meaning
of the underline?
We couldn't get the setup for handover into production of OTF files to
run. The panels on the SAP R/3 system just don't show up in the
sequence you describe. Is there a more complete description with samples
like a redbook available?

How a formdef is selected will depend on the level of PTF you have on
the psf.sap component. The initial implementation of formdef selection
when the sap2afp transform first came out was very confusing and
differed depending on if you were printing OTF or ABAP. The decision
was made by development to simplify (hopefully) and make consistent
the formdef selection process now before we got more customers running
the code.
The text for APAR IX75331 has an excellent comparison of the behavior
before and after the installation of the PTF for IX75331. See the
section that is entitled "IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOLLOWS - PLEASE READ".
Note that you will also need current maintenance for PSF and optionally
for PPFA.
The minimum PTF levels to obtain support for the code change described
in IX75331 are U454871 (psf.sap), U455395 (psf.base), and UQ16342
(psf.ppfa).
As far as the panels varying from the book, the problem is that the
sap2afp transform is supported on many different releases of SAP R/3,
and their panels vary between releases; we were unable to document all
their variations. If you have a specific set of questions on a specific
release, we will try to assist; please let us know the SAP R/3 release
you are running and the specific operations or panels for which you have
questions.
There is an older redbook, but please do not use it; because of code
changes and other factors, it is out of date and contains incorrect
information.
Documentation for the SAP transform for InfoPrint Manager 3.1 will
be available on the external web site (http://www.printers.ibm.com)
after GA, and will include more examples and screen prints.
