"Error 2020" When Running imnss -stop imnhelp

Environment

OS Level: AIX 4.3.x

Problem

	internal error 2020 allocation of shared memory resource failed; 
	system error 13 associated file access permissions do not allow 
	the specific actions.

Typically this is a result of the UID and GID in imnadm having been changed.

Solution

The correct procedure for changing the UID and GID follows:

1. Enter:

   	imnss -stop imnhelp
   

2. Change the UID and/or GID.

3. Enter:

   	imnss -start imnhelp
   

If you have already changed the UID and GID, use the following procedure to correct the error.

1. Enter:

   	imnss -stop imnhelp
   

2. Change the UID and/or GID back to default.

3. Enter:

   	imnss -start imnhelp
   

4. Enter:

   	imnss -stop imnhelp
   

5. Change the UID and/or GID.

6. Enter:

   	imnss -start imnhelp
