Deleting a Printer

This procedure removes a printer from the system. Deleting a printer does not remove any print queues that send print jobs to that printer. See Deleting a Print Queue if you want to also delete the print queues.

Prerequisites

• A printer must have been added (Configuring a Printer without Adding a Queue).
• You must have root authority.

Web-based System Manager

1. At the system prompt, type wsm, then select Devices.
2. In the Web-based System Manager Devices window, select the printer object you want to delete.
3. Select Delete from the Selected menu.
