cifsPasswd Command
Purpose
Allows users to change their passwords from remote locations without having
root authority.
Syntax
cifsPasswd [ username ] [ /changeaixpwd ]
Description
This command allows users to change their encrypted passwords without having
root authority. To execute this command, a telnet or other AIX-login
session is required.
Note
- The cifsPasswd command does not work with NT-passthrough
authentication
- The cifsPasswd command cannot be used to change
DCE passwords.
Flags

username |
AIX user name needing a changed AIX Fast Connect password.
If unspecified, the current user name is used. |
|
/changeaixpwd |
If this flag is specified, the AIX password for that user will
be changed also. |
