This book provides information about the Distributed System Management Interface Tool (DSMIT). DSMIT adds functionality to the System Management Interface Tool (SMIT). It allows the SMIT interface to build commands for distribution to other machines on a network.
This book is intended for system administrators performing tasks related to the operation of the DSMIT program. Readers are expected to have a basic knowledge of the System Management Interface Tool (SMIT). For information on using SMIT, see "System Management Interface Tool (SMIT): Overview" in AIX 5L Version 5.1 System Management Guide: Operating System and Devices.
