Part 5. Format and Content of Structure Element Records

This part describes the format and content of the graPHIGS API structure elements.

Your application can inquire about the format of the structure elements in one of two ways:

• Use the Inquire Element Content (GPQED) subroutine, to return the Version 2 format of the graPHIGS API
• Use the Inquire Element Content (GPQE) subroutine, to return the Version 1 format of the graPHIGS API

Chapter 11, Structure Element Content as Returned by GPQED, provides you with the graPHIGS API Version 2 (GPQED) formats and Chapter 12, Structure Element Content as Returned by GPQE, provides you with the graPHIGS API Version 1 (GPQE) formats.
