Programming Interface Information

This reference manual is intended to assist programmers in writing efficient graphics programs and it primarily documents General-use Programming Interfaces and Associated Guidance Information provided by the graPHIGS API.

General-use programming interfaces allow the customer to write programs that obtain the services of the graPHIGS API.

However, this reference manual also documents Diagnosis, Modification or Tuning Information that is provided to assist customers in performing tasks such as tailoring, monitoring, modifying, tuning, and diagnosing of the graPHIGS API.

Do not use this Diagnosis, Modification or Tuning Information as a programming interface.

Diagnosis, Modification or Tuning Information is identified where it occurs, by an introductory statement to a chapter or section.
