The Encina Peer-to-Peer Gateway for AIX Package provides a server gateway between DCE and SNA communication protocols. The Peer-to-Peer Communication Gateway ensures data consistency between Encina systems and SNA-based systems, bridging the two-phase commit protocols of Encina and SNA LU6.2. It consists of a single installable fileset, encina.ppcgate.
The Encina Peer-to-Peer Gateway for AIX software requires approximately 3.2 megabytes of disk space.
Requisite software must be installed before or with the fileset you are installing from this package.
If you are running Encina on your system, it is recommended that you stop all Encina related processes before installing a new version or reinstalling Encina.
After the Encina PPC Gateway has been successfully installed, it must be configured. For further information, see Encina PPC Administrator's Guide and Reference, order number SC33-1612.
