Description
This package provides the PS/2 TrackPoint driver for Windows 95, 98 and NT 4.0 users.
This package enables or updates the TrackPoint function of the following ThinkPad computers:
- ThinkPad 380Z
- ThinkPad 560Z

From the IBM PC Company ftp site on the Internet at the address noted above,
(copy & paste the address into your Web Browser, or, if you are connected to an Internotes or Domino server, double-click on the address to hot-link directly to the URL. NOTE: This driver will now automatically extract to your hard drive. It will only extract under Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows NT. The extraction process will NOT work with any other operating system. For instructions on how to transfer files greater than 1.44 MB to multiple floppies, click here.

Installation Guide
Windows 98
1. Start Windows 98.
2. Extract the drivers onto the hard disk.
3. Click on Start.
4. Move the cursor to Settings; then click on Control Panel.
5. Double-click on the System icon.
6. Click on the Device Manager tab at the top of the "System Properties" window.
7. Double-click on the Mouse.
8. Double-click on either PS/2 Compatible Mouse Port or PS/2 TrackPoint whichever choice appears in the list.
9. Click on the Driver tab.
10. Click on the Update Driver... button. The "Update Device Driver Wizard" runs.
11. Click on Next.
12. Click on "Display a list of all the drivers in a specific location, so you can select the driver you want".
13. Click on Next.
14. Click on Have Disk.
15. Make sure that the source drive is C:\DRIVERS\WIN\TPOINT and click on OK.
16. Click on PS/2 TrackPoint in the list.
17. Click on Next.
18. Click on Next.
19. Click on Finish in the "Update Device Driver Wizard" window.
20. Restart your computer to make the new settings effective.
Windows 95
1. Start Windows 95.
2. Extract the drivers onto the hard disk.
3. Click on Start.
4. Move the cursor to Settings; then click on Control Panel.
5. Double-click on the Mouse icon.
6. Click on the General tab.
7. Click on Change.
8. Click on Have Disk.
9. Type C:\DRIVERS\WIN\TPOINT and click on OK.
10. Select PS/2 TrackPoint in the list.
11. Click on OK.
12. Click on Close in the "Mouse Properties" window.
13. Restart your computer to make the new settings effective.
Windows NT 4.0
1. Start Windows NT 4.0.
2. Extract the drivers onto the hard disk.
3. Click on Start.
4. Move the cursor to Settings; then click on Control Panel.
5. Double-click on the Mouse icon.
6. Click on the General tab.
7. Click on Change.
8. Click on Have Disk.
9. Type C:\DRIVERS\WIN\TPOINT and click on OK.
10. Select PS/2 TrackPoint in the list.
11. Click on OK.
12. Click on Close in the "Mouse Properties" window.
13. Restart your computer to make the new settings effective.
National Language Support
Only some drivers will be available in other languages. If you do not see a listing like this for additional languages, then that driver is available in English only. The English driver will work in ALL countries.
