Installation instructions
Note: During its installation, Windows 95 detects the AudioDrive device in some computers and automatically installs its support software. However, this is not the case with the AudioDrive devices in ThinkPad computers. So, you must reinstall the AudioDrive support software. Do the following:
Windows 95 Release 1
1. Turn on the computer and start Windows 95.
2. Extract the drivers onto the hard disk.
3. Click on Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> System.
4. Click on the Device Manager tab; then double-click on Sound, video and game controllers from the list.
6. Double-click on ESS AudioDrive.
7. Click on the Driver tab.
8. Click on the Change Driver button.
9. Click on the Have Disk... button.
10. Type C:\DRIVERS\W95\AUDIO and click on OK.
11. After the installation is complete, click on the Close button.
You have completed the installation of the AudioDrive Support Software for Windows 95.
Windows 95 Release 2
1. Turn on the computer and start Windows 95.
2. Extract the drivers onto the hard disk.
3. Click on Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> System.
4. Click on the Device Manager tab.
5. Double-click on Sound, video, and game controller from the list.
6. Double-click on ESS AudioDrive.
7. Click on the Driver tab.
8. Click on the Update Driver... button.
9. Select Yes to the question Do you want Windows to Search for the drive? on the Update Device Driver Wizard panel.
10. Click on the Next button.
11. Click on the Other Locations button. Type C:\DRIVERS\W95\AUDIO.
12. Click on OK. The installation begins.
13. Restart the computer.
You have completed the installation of ThinkPad AudioDrive Support Software for Windows 95.
