14.) Remove the diskette from the floppy drive. Exit Windows and then restart the computer for the changes to take affect.

This installation installs a driver in your config.sys file assigns drive letters to your PCMCIA slots. This will cause two things to happen. First, after you restart your computer you will get an error message saying Not ready reading drive D. This is because the Sleep Manager utility you installed earlier, searches all available drives to allocate disk space. When it gets to the D drive, which is your PCMCIA slot, it cannot read anything. To get past the error press the A key to abort. Secondly, your CD-ROM drive will move from drive D to drive F. Since the PCMCIA driver is loading before the CD-ROM drive is assigned a drive letter, the CD-ROM drive gets pushed back. To correct both issues just follow these simple steps:

1.) Exit out of Windows.
2.) Type cd\ and press enter.
3.) Type e config.sys.
4.) Find the line that reads DEVICEHIGH=C:\PCM4\PROGRAM\PCMATA.SYS. Put the cursor in front of that line and type REM and a space in front of the line. It should now read:

REM DEVICEHIGH=C:\PCM4\PROGRAM\PCMATA.SYS.
5.) Press the F4 key to save the changes and exit.

Note: The PCMATA.SYS driver is for PCMCIA ATA cards. If you are using, or plan on using this type of card, you will need to use this driver.
