Description This HotSync v3.0.1 update is designed for use on WorkPad organizers currently running Palm OS v3.0.0 software or later but should support earlier versions of the Palm OS software. All of the features of the WorkPad Desktop v3.0 software may not be supported on previous Palm OS versions 1.0.x or 2.0.x. Purpose: The HotSync v3.0.1 software update adds support for installation of third-party application files during the HotSync process.

Purpose The HotSync v3.0.1 software update adds support for installation of third-party application files during the HotSync process. Download HotSync v3.0.1 Update Download the file wphs301.exe (110 K) to a temporary directory. Installing HotSync v3.0.1 1. Close the Palm Desktop and the HotSync Manager on your desktop computer. 2. Locate the directory where the wphs301.exe file is stored. 3. Double-click on wphs301.exe to extract the file into that directory. 4. Using Windows Explorer, find and click on the extracted file, HotSync.exe. 5. Find the directory that contains the WorkPad Desktop. (The default directory is "c:\WorkPad") 6. Drag-and-drop the HotSync.exe file into the WorkPad directory. 7. Click "OK' when asked if you wish to replace the existing copy of HotSync.exe. Known Issues There is one known issue with the HotSync v3.0.1 file: Changes made to the Install conduit in the Custom option of the HotSync menu will not take effect unless the user checks the set as default button (e.g., if the user selects "Do nothing" and fails to check the box, applications will still be installed on the hand held device).
