Aptiva - Windows 95 update diskette

Description Executing the program will create a bootable floppy diskette. Booting the system off of a diskette will initiate the Windows 95 installation program. The W95APT.EXE diskette will assist in installing Windows 95 on your system. You must also have a copy of Windows 95 on CD-ROM from Microsoft. Aptiva 21xx-xxP, 2144-P30, 2144-S15 systems only. W95APT.TXT is a text file detailing the procedure used to upgrade a system to Windows 95 using the above diskette. This document should be read all the way through before installing Windows 95. Running W95APT.EXE will also create a readme.txt file on the A: drive which can be viewed for additional technical information on this installation diskette.

Additional Information:	Aptiva 21xx-xxP, 2144-P30, 2144-S15 systems only. To download the file, read the following: 1. Click on file icon, 2. Pick OK to copy file to your local disk, 3. Save as file name, "W95APT.EXE" and select drive "C" (Or whichever drive you would like to save the file to). Choose OK. This will download the file to your hard disk. 4. At a DOS or OS/2 prompt type "W95APT". This command will explode the file from the hard drive to a floppy disk. Follow the prompts and insert a floppy disk into drive A. Installation instructions can be found in the README.TXT file on the diskette once it is created. You may view the README.TXT file by using a text editor, i.e. type "e a:\readme.txt" at a C:\ prompt.
