Abstract: OS/2 SERVERAID ADMIN. AND MONITORING DATE DISPLAY BEHAVIOR

SYMPTOM:

Date displays incorrectly in OS/2 ServeRAID Administration and Monitoring in year 2000 and beyond.

PROBLEM ISOLATION AIDS:

•  The system is any of the following IBM Netfinity servers:

          a Netfinity 8500 server, Type 8681, any Model.
          a Netfinity 7000-M10 server, Type 8680, any Model.
          a Netfinity 7000 server, Type 8651, any Model.
          a Netfinity 5600 server, Type 8664, any Model.
          a Netfinity 5500-M20 server, Type 8662, any Model.
          a Netfinity 5500-M10 server, Type 8661, any Model.
          a Netfinity 5500 server, Type 8660, any Model.
          a Netfinity 5100R server, Type 8656, any Model.
          a Netfinity 5000 server, Type 8659, any Model.
          a Netfinity 4000R server, Type 8652, any Model.
          a Netfinity 3500 server, Type 8644, any Model.
          a Netfinity 3500-M10 server, Type 8655, any Model.
          a Netfinity 3000 server, Type 8476, any Model.

•  The system has the described symptom.

FIX:

Download and apply the "IBM ServeRAID Administration And Monitoring Programs Diskette version 3.50C" from the following URL:

http://www.pc.ibm.com/searchfiles.html
search on "ServeRAID Administration Monitoring"

The corresponding Text file (09N7688.TXT) is viewable on-line and may be printed.

To create the update diskette; the downloaded file 09N7688.EXE) is a self-extracting executable file that will prompt for a diskette.
Follow instructions on the display to create the diskette.

Use the setup.exe program located on the diskette to install the updated IBM ServeRAID Administration Program.

DETAILS:

If a logical drive is created with the ServeRAID Administration and Monitoring program in the year 2000, the creation date of the logical drive will display as the year 1900 instead of 2000.
This is a display problem only and does not affect the function of the ServeRAID controller in any way.
