Abstract: EXP 15: INCORRECT RETURN FROM INQUIRY COMMAND

TEXT:

After initial data inquiry of SCSI adapter on EXP 15 an incorrect return from inquiry command occurs.

SYMPTOMS:

After the EXP 15 retrieves inquiry data the first time from the SCSI adapter, all future requests will result in an incorrect return; it will look something like the following at the expansion unit's SCSI address:

       Device ID:    ˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜˜2   ˜˜˜

Note: This does not cause problems with the running of the machine.

PROBLEM ISOLATION AIDS:

WORKAROUND:

Power off the EXP 15 and power it back on.

When it first comes back up, it will give good data.
On each subsequent inquiry, the Data will come out as above.

Note: This does not impact the running of the EXP 15 at all.
