Abstract: SCO UNIXWARE 7 FAILS TO INSTALL - 2ND CD IS NOT RECOGNIZED

SYMPTOM:

SCO Unixware 7.1 doesn't recognize the second installation CD.
The CD may appear as unreadable.

PROBLEM ISOLATION AIDS:

•  The system is a Netfinity 3500-M10 server, Type 8655, any model.
•  The system's Diagnostics Pass.
•  NOS affected:

FIX:

•  Press F1 during system startup to enter the BIOS Configuration/Setup screen
•  Select "Load Default Settings" from the menu
•  Save and exit the configuration utility
•  Reboot

If there are specific BIOS settings that you need to keep:

•  Select "Power Management" from the menu
•  Select "APM"
•  Look for "APM BIOS Mode," and disable it
•  Save and exit the configuration utility
•  Reboot

DETAILS:

Advanced Power Management (APM) is not supported in SCO.
