SYMPTOM:

Data cartridge not recognized, or data cartridge not loading.

PROBLEM ISOLATION AIDS:

•  Any of the following IBM DLT tape drives:

    00K7900 (option)
    00K7901 (drive)
    00K7898 (FRU)
    04K0149 (option)
    10L6048 (drive)
    10L6049 (FRU)

•  The BIOS level affected: V55

FIX:

Apply firmware flash DLT.EXE (for DOS) and DLTWIN.EXE (for windows) to the DLT tape drive.
