Abstract: NETFINITY 7000: SERVERGUIDE CD#1 HANGS SYSTEM at BOOT

SYMPTOM:

The System hangs while booting from HardwareGuide CD#1 contained in ServerGuide version 4.0.4 or earlier, with an "hourglass icon" on the HardwareGuide's Logo screen.

PROBLEM ISOLATION AIDS:

•  The System is a Netfinity 7000 server Type 8651 Model RH0, RM0, TH0 or TM0.
•  The System hangs on the HardwareGuide's Logo screen with an "hourglass icon".

FIX:

This will be fixed in the future version of ServerGuide.

WORKAROUND:

Use the Netfinity 7000 System CD P/N 4227072 that ships with the the server to configure the RAID subsystem.
