In almost all cases you will be working within a design unit (known as a system in Structure Functional Design). This task explains creation of a design unit and is explained in more detail in Creating a Design Unit. | |

1. | Open the
Structure Detail System Design (SDD) workbench and click the Design
Unit button . The
Structure Design Unit dialog box displays.

Click OK
to create the design unit. In the image below, the design unit entry in the
specifications tree has been expanded to show its contents.

When you
create a design unit,
a plane system
is also created, and a hull can be added. A sample hull and plane system are provided with this
application.
