Creating The Leg Of The Chair

This task shows you how to create the leg of the chair using extrusion and subdivision operations.
The .CATPart document is still open from the previous task.
Otherwise, open the Chair1.CATPart document.

  1. Click Face Subdivision .

  2. Select the surface to be subdivided.

    Here we are going to divide the lower face of the chair so as to get a circled surface suitable for the leg creation.

  3. Click twice the lower face of the chair.

    Let's now extrude the circled surface to create the basic shape of the leg.

  4. Click Extrusion .

  5. Select the circled face and extrude it three times:

    The leg of the chair is now ready:
    Let's move to the next step and create the foot of the leg.
