Creating a Pad 

This task shows you how to exit the Sketcher workbench in order to create a pad.
In case you did not save the previous sketch, open the Getting_Started.CATPart document.

  1. Select Exit Workbench in the Workbench toolbar.

    Your sketch is displayed in the Part Design workbench.

  1. Click Pad .
    The Pad Definition dialog box is displayed and a pad preview is shown in the geometry area.

  2. Enter 25 in the Length field.

  3. Click OK to validate the pad creation.
    The pad is created as shown here.
 
  • You can use Sketch to edit a sketch from the Pad Definition dialog box.
  • It is also possible to position a sketch from the Part Design workbench. For more information, see Creating a Positioned Sketch.
