What is Loaded from the Manufacturing Hub into DPM

When a process is loaded into DPM through the Manufacturing Hub, the following entities are imported into Process and Resource Definition:

  • The selected process and its parents (for context information)
  • All sub-processes of the selected process
  • All products (and their sub-structures) assigned to the selected process and its sub-processes
  • The parents of the associated products (for context information)
  • The fasteners and locators linked to the loaded products (see the Loading Locators and Fasteners section for more details)
  • All resources (and their sub-structures) assigned to the selected process and its sub-processes
  • The parents of the associated resources (for context information)
  • The Process Graph for the selected process (viewable in Process and Resource Definition via the PERT chart)

Note: Products, fasteners, locators and resources are loaded only if their association to the loaded processes is of a supported type. See the Supported Process Relationship Types section to access to the supported relations list.

The image below shows a process defined in a Process Engineer PPR Tree (on the left) with products and resources assigned to it. A DPM PPR tree is shown on the right after importing the same process via the Manufacturing Hub. All products and resources associated to the selected process and its children are imported into DPM as shown:
