Additionally, replace the /etc/yp/Makefile with the Makefile provided, after saving a copy of it somewhere, or, if you'd rather (which you would in the case where you have reconfigured this file,) you can do the following: Adding the following line to /etc/yp/Makefile immediatly after line 85 solves the problem (line 85 is the 'sed' line in the hosts.time paragraph.): | dd conv=lcase \ After all changes are complete, type 'make' in the /etc/yp directory after changing the Makefile.
