Description There is one known issue under Microsoft Windows 98 when you use an IBM ThinkPad that comes with the internal Mwave DSP/Modem/Telephony/Audio device. When a ThinkPad that has Mwave telephony and audio functionality returns from Standby(suspend), the system will show a loss of audio and modem capability. To correct this problem, you must install this special fix provided by Microsoft. The following ThinkPad models are supported. - ThinkPad 760C, 760CD, 760E, 760ED, 760XD and 765D Please see bottom of page for links to language specific versions of this file.

The installation replaces two original files native to Windows 98: vcomm.vxd and unimodem.vxd. 1.) Startup Windows 98 on your computer 2.) Insert this fix diskette in to the floppy drive and open DOS prompt Window or select Start --> Run... 3.) Type A:MINSTALL on the DOS command prompt or enter A:MINSTALL on Run Window 4.) Original files are renamed and these new files will be replaced in the subdirectly where the Windows 98 is installed 5.) Shutdown and restart Windows 98 National Language Support Only some drivers will be available in other languages. If you do not see a listing like this for additional languages, then that driver is available in English only. The English driver will work in ALL countries. This driver is available in the following language format.
