SOMobjects Workgroup Enabler Package Information

The SOMobjects Workgroup Enabler Package contains the Distributed SOM code for CICS System Manager for AIX product. This package is compatible with the bos.som package but includes fixes required by CICS System Manager for AIX. It is equivalent to level 2.1.2 of SOMobjects.

somwg.rte SOM Run-time Kernel

This fileset contains libraries required to run DSOM.

somwg.ir Interface Repository Framework

This fileset contains the interface repository for use with DSOM.

somwg.util SOMobjects Utility Classes

This fileset contains the utility classes for use with DSOM.

somwg.dsom Distributed SOM Framework (DSOM)

This fileset contains DSOM.

somwg.somp SOMobjects Persistence Framework

This fileset contains the SOM persistence frameworks runtime.

somwg.somr SOMobjects Replication Framework

This fileset contains the SOM replication frameworks runtime.

somwg.somuc SOMobjects Collection Classes

This fileset contains the SOM collection classes runtime.

Approximate Disk Space Required

The SOMobjects Workgroup Enabler software requires approximately 4.2 megabytes of disk space.

somwg.dsom also requires communications software to be installed before or at the time of installation. For CICS System Manager for AIX, only TCP/IP support is provided. Thus, the bos.net.tcp.client package should be installed.
