The Performance Toolbox Manager - Local Support package contains the commands and utilities that allows one to monitor only a standalone system. It consists of a single fileset, perfmgr.local.

Stop Performance Agent Daemons and Utilities before installing another version of the software. If the performance agent daemons had been running, then reboot the system after installation. OEM agents can be installed on HP and Sun machines by copying the installation script to the OEM machine and running it.
If both perfmgr.local and perfmgr.network are installed, then the perfmgr.network functionality will be used since it has more capabilities than perfmgr.local and perfmgr.local can be de-installed to recover disk space.
Users with the perfmgr fileset installed can migrate to perfmgr.network since perfmgr.network contains the same ability to monitor remote systems.
