No C Set ++ compilations should be in progress while you are installing the compiler. You must have access to an iFOR/LS server and a valid C Set ++ for AIX license.
If you customized the /etc/xlC.cfg file, the old version will be stored in the save directory . You have to manually merge any changes that are still required into the new version.
