CICS Client for AIX Package Information

The CICS Client for AIX Package contains the CICS Client software and consists of the following separately installable filesets.

Fileset Names

cics.client.rte CICS Client Run Time

This fileset contains cicsterm and cicsteld (the CICS for AIX utilities that allow users to attach to a region), keyboard mapping and other facilities.

cics.client.adt CICS Client Development System

This fileset contains the files required to develop CICS External Presentation Interface (EPI) and CICS External Call Interface (ECI) applications.

Approximate Disk Space Required

The CICS Client for AIX software requires approximately 2.8MB of disk space.

Requisite Software

Requisite software must be installed before or with the filesets you are installing from this package.
