Refresh rate change for graphic adapter

Hello,
My customer has a question about graphic adapter refresh rate setting.
His AIX version is V4.1.4 and he uses a 370 with gt4e graphic adapter.
He wants to change a refresh rete for gt4e, so he used a smit with
"chres_refrt" first path.
Usually, if he use a GXT150P, he can select a graphic adapter from
"Graphic Adapter" Box.
But on his system (that has gt4e graphic adapter), he could not get
graphic adapters list from "Graphic Adapter" Box.
For the above results, he has the following question:
1) Is changing refresh rate funciton supported for gt4e on AIX V4?
On AIX V3, there are function to change refresh rate for gt4e and
gt3i.
You can use a smit with "display" first path and select "Select the
Display Refresh Rate".
2) If not, does it mean that user does not need to change refresh rate
for the above graphic adapters?
Could you answer for these question?
Thanks and Regards,

Response:
The gt4e adapter does not allow the setting of a refresh rate. It
automatically syncs to the monitor being used, so that no configuration
is necessary.
The gt3i, on the other hand, should be configurable through smit.
has a high and a low refresh setting. If this does not work, then
the "chdev" command may be used to manually set this parameter, as
follows:
chdev -P -l ppr0 -a refresh_rate=77
