Q:
Customer wants to print from SP via PSF/6000 to a Mannesmann TALLY
Printer T6082/T6092. This printer does not understand PCL5.
Is there a possibility to configure PSF/6000 in order to emulate an
IBM Proprinter or another datastream?
A:
PSF/AIX does not support impact printers, I'm sorry. The only exception
is that it can support IPDS 64xx printers driven from a host PSF
(PSF/MVS, PSF/VM, PSF/VSE, PSF/400) through PSF Direct (SNA LU6.2) to
the extent of the support provided by the host PSF.
PSF/AIX cannot support the Mannesmann Tally T6082/T6092 line impact
printers. There might be some support possible through native AIX.
