x400 communication between an Rs6000 and As400.

On the AS/400 side you need to look at
Either (for V3R2)
5763-MS1 OSI Message Services
5763-OS1 OSI Comm Subsystem (required by the above)
Or (or V3R7)
5716-MS1 OSI Message Services for AS/400 Version 3 Release 6 and
5716-OS1 OSI Comm Subsystem for AS/400 Version 3 Release 6
On the AIX side it is a little more complicated.
AIX OSI Services/6000 was withdrawn on December 28, 1995
(see PLET ZP95-0581). I urge you to read this to understand what
has happened to the products. The solution you are looking at
today is OSSC and you should route your customer to Openet
in Dublin (phone : 00353 1 492 9899 fax : Same with 902 on the end,
e-mail openet@iol.ie)
They will handle the OSSC product range.
