Question........:
AIX can support the jetdirect card found on HP printers. A customer
had drawn my attention to a card which has two parallel ports, for
driving two printers. Since the card has a single tcpip address,
talking to two printers is probably a case of writing to two
different tcpip port numbers. However, when you configure the
JetDirect card on AIX, you can only enter a hostname and not
a port number.
Can AIX support JetDirect cards which can drive multiple printers?

You need to go back to your customer and find out exactly which printer
he is talking about. There is an AIX PRINT forum which includes
entries about use of multiple ports on the HP JetDirect EX Plus3
so I recommend that you search there and append if necessary.
You also need to hook into the pre-sales technical support structure
in the AIX business unit. Wish I had a name for you....
