IS THERE ANY WAY TO PREVENT THE POSTSCRIPT
ITEM: RTA000030699
QUESTION:
Is there any way to prevent the POSTSCRIPT copyright window from
coming up when you invoke X-windows?
---------- ---------- ---------- --------- ---------- ----------
A: The easiest way to prevent the POSTSCRIPT copyright notice from
appearing on your screen is to modify the 'xinitrc' script that is
bringing it up.
You will first need to locate your system 'xinitrc' file. It is
probably located in one of the following directories.
/usr/lib/X11/$LANG
/usr/lpp/X11/defaults/$LANG
/usr/lpp/X11/defaults
When you have located the your 'xinitrc' script file, edit it and
comment out the stanza about the DPS Copyright' by adding a pound sign
in front of the lines so that the stanza looks like the one below.
# If not X-Station then invoke the DPS copyright
# if . -z "$XSTATION" .
# then
# /usr/lpp/DPS/bin/copyright -x &
# fi
Also, if there are '.xinitrc' files in any user's home directories, it
will be necessary to make a similar modification to these file. With
these changes, to DPS Copyright notice will no longer appear after
user login.
