QUESTION:
We have a RISC System/6000 25T with two graphics adapters.
The adapters are : GXT150 and GXT1000. We want to disable the
GXT150 and enable the GXT1000 adapter. How does one do this?
Thanks in advance for your assistance.
P.S. Currently the 25T will only come up when the monitor's RGB
cables are attached to the GXT150. We want to attach the monitor
to the GXT1000 graphics subsystem and boot from that system. Any ideas?

A: You should be able to accomplish this with a few commands. First,
verify that you have added the adapters to the system with the
commands:
lsdev -C | grep -y adapter
Now execute the following command (substituting the graphics adapter
card name from the first column for graphics_card_name ):
chdev -l hft0 -a default_disp=graphics_card_name -P
This will change the configuration in the ODM database to indicate
the GTX1000 adapter as the default display. This change will take
affect once you reboot the system. After shutting down and powering
off, plug in your hft cabling to the new adapter. The system should
come up normally with the GTX1000 adapter card.
