These cable specifications are intended as guidelines only. It is
a customers responsibility to ensure that cabling components
appropriate for operating an Ethernet* network are used.
THICK ETHERNET CABLE SYSTEM SPECIFICATIONS (10base5):

The mechanical requirements for the Ethernet cable are as follows:
