URGENT!!! PROBLEMS WITH MODE3 FOR HACMP/6000.
ITEM: RTA000052747
QUESTION:
I have two 570s configured for concurrent access using HACMP/6000. We
have one 9333-501 disk drive subsystem being shared by both machines.
The name of the volume group that is being shared by both systems is
9333raw and it contains no filesystems. I can bring up HA on either
machine separately but when I try to bring up HA for both machines
to concurrently access volume group 9333raw, HA fails. The error msgs
I get are as follows:
Right after HA runs "/usr/sbin/cluster/mode3 -c 9333raw" I get
mode3: ioctl (9333raw, DIOCONCURRENT): Bad address.
Also in looking at the /tmp/hacmp.out I get a lot of messages of
" failed mode3 -c of 9333raw" and " /usr/sbin/cluster/utils/cl_mode3:
failed mode3 -c 9333raw".
I am using HA 2.1 and right now I cannot start both machines in mode3
because of this error.
Please let me know how I can fix this.
Thanks˘˘˘

A: This problem was fixed by removing the shared VG from both machines,
removing the disks in the VG, removing the HA config, then re-adding
all of the information.
