HACMP for AIX, Version 4.1.1 now supports the RISC System/6000* 7024
Model E30, the Ethernet 10 Mbps BNC MC Adapter (#2993) and the
Ethernet/FDX 10 Mbps TP/AUI MC Adapter (#2992).
Up to eight E30 entry servers can be now configured in an HACMP cluster
(up to four on each SCSI bus) providing additional high availability
and improved price/performance for the workgroup server market.
No APAR/PTF is required for HACMP support of this system. See HONE
ASKQ item RTA000096368 for a complete list of the PCI adapters and disk
subsystems supported in HACMP configurations.
In addition, HACMP now supports the following new MicroChannel* adapters:
the Ethernet 10 Mbps BNC MC Adapter (#2993) and the Ethernet/FDX
10 Mbps TP/AUI MC Adapter (#2992). The BNC adapter provides
improved price/performance for Ethernet 802.3 networks, while the
TP/AUI adapter provides increased network throughput, low latency
transmission/reception and full-duplex operation for 10BaseT
networks. No APARs or PTFs are required to support #2992 or #2993.
