HACMP/6000 Version 3.1.1 Now Supports The
7131 SCSI Multi-Storage Tower Model 105
=========================================================================
HACMP/6000 Version 3.1.1 now supports the 7131 SCSI Multi-Storage
Tower Model 105, offering low-cost storage expansion and a low-cost
mirrored solution for high system availability when using two 7131
towers in an HACMP cluster. Up to four RISC System/6000 systems can be
configured with the 7131 SCSI Multi-Storage Tower Model 105 in a
non-concurrent mode of operation, such as stand-by or mutual takeover.
Attachment of the 7131-105 requires either the SCSI-2 Differential
Fast/Wide Adapter/A (FC 2416) or the Enhanced SCSI-2 Differential
Fast/Wide Adapter/A (FC 2412). Up to two enclosures are supported per
SCSI-2 bus. No tapes or CD-ROMs can be installed in the 7131-105 in
an HACMP cluster. No APAR/PTF is required for HACMP support of this
device. The HONE Configurator (CFRS6000) will be updated on 5/14/96
to provide this support. The PC Configurator (PCRS6000) will be
updated on 4/23/96.
