ITEM: RTA000052262
QUESTION:
I have a customer that is running HCON and SNA over a SDLC line using
a 3151 with a PS/2 style keyboard. Where are the following keys
using the PS/2 style keyboard on a 3151: PA1 key, PA2 key, Clear key,
Reset key, and the Enter key.
---------- ---------- ---------- --------- ---------- ----------
A: The IBM 3151 Model 310 and 410 are designed to work with the RISC
System/6000 while the Model 510 and 610 (the PS/2 keyboard) are
designed to work with PS/2. Both models will work with the RISC
System/6000; however, as you have already noticed, some of the keys are
labeled differently.
The following table lists the functions that require different
keystrokes (for the 610 keyboard) than those posted in the Communications
Concepts and Procedures manual:
+-----------+------------------------+
| Function | Press |
+-----------+------------------------+
| ENTER | Right-Ctrl |
| SYSREQ | Page Down |
| CLEAR | Page Up |
| PA1 | Ctrl-1 on the keypad |
| PA2 | Ctrl-2 on the keypad |
| PA3 | Ctrl-3 on the keypad |
| PRINT | Asterisk on the keypad |
