SCREEN BUFFERING WITH 3151 ON 7318

QUESTION:
This is a question on using the IBM 3151 terminal with the 7318
terminal servers. Is there any way to enable screening buffering
with this combination of hardware. This is in reference to
moving between screens/sessions on the 3151 and have the screen
output of the "background" screens/sessions buffered and displayed
again as the user toggle back. Thanksą

A: Unfortunately, there is not a way to enable screen buffering on
the IBM 3151 ASCII Display with the 7318 terminal server.
Multiple sessions can only refresh or update the screen upon
switching back to a session, if the terminal supports multiple
display pages or screen buffering. For terminals that do not
support multiple display pages, the default action on a session
switch is to clear the screen. The IBM 3151 ASCII terminals do
not support multiple display screen or screen buffering.
