Printing Systems Manager (PSM)
Client is printing to PSM controlled 3900s from HP Unix. Currently the
banner pages produced don't have any useful distribution information,
i.e. user name, location, etc. that is avaiable with other banner pages.
Is there any way to pass that information from HP Unix originated
documents through PSM to print on the banner pages produced out of the
3900s.

I would refer you to libraried WWQ&A item RTA000148200 for information
on the sample lprafp code that we provide with PSF/AIX and InfoPrint
Manager. Once compiled on the HP-UX system, users can submit jobs
and pass parameters to PSF/AIX or InfoPrint Manager using the -o flag.
You could then pass parameters like -ouserid or -oroom, etc.
The sample lprafp code has been tested on AIX, HP-UX, DEC Ultrix,
SunOS and Sun Solaris. It is "sample" code, which means it's not a
formally supported part of the product, but if the customer has
problems, we'll do the best we can to assist.
There are lots of other items libraried in WWQ&A/ViewBlue on lprafp
if search on that as a keyword.
